Fairfax Dental Assistant School Student Grievance Policy
Students must address their concerns about this school or any of its educational programs by following the grievance process as follows: Student grievances should be directed to the class instructor. The instructor will act to either address the concern or escalate to the director if needed. If the matter is not resolved by approaching the instructor, a student grievance should then be directed to the school’s director in writing within seven calendar days of the incident. This can be accomplished by sending an email to the attention of “School Director” to:
[email protected]. A response to grievances will be issued by the school director in writing no more than three business days after receipt of the written grievance. Students are welcome to call the school office during business hours. Open communication between the student and the school is encouraged to resolve the student’s concerns. If the student complaint cannot be resolved after exhausting the school’s grievance procedure, the student may file a complaint with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. The student should submit written complaints to: State Council of Higher Education for Virginia Private and Out-of-State Postsecondary Education 101 N. 14th Street, 9th Floor James Monroe Building Richmond, VA 23219 https://www.schev.edu/students/resources/student- complaints Students are not subject to unfair action/treatment as a result of the initiation of the complaint.
